Md. Shahid Uz Zaman received B.Sc Degree in EEE from the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, RUET Bangladesh in 1989, M.Sc degree in Computer Engineering from Shanghai University , China in 1997 and Ph.D degree in Information Engineering from the Department of Information Engineering, University of the Ryukyus, Janan in 2004. He joined as a lecturer in the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, RUET in1991. In 2008, he became Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, RUET. He was appointed as an associate professor in the faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Malaysia Sarawak, Malaysia from March, 2011 to March, 2013. He worked as a Research Associate for about one year in the department of Information Engineering, University of the Ryukyus, Japan, in 2003-04.  Three (03) months practical working experience in International System Development (ISD) Company at Okinawa, Japan. He worked as Dean of the faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, RUET from 2013 to 2015 and Head of the department of Computer Science and Engineering, RUET from 2006 to 2011. He served as an Additional Director in Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), RUET as well as served as Director of Institute of Information and Communication Technology, RUET. He published more than 40 journal/conference papers.  He served as an Organizing Chair, a PC member, reviewer and sub-reviewer for many Journals and Conference. He is an IEEE member and IEB fellow. He is interested in programming with C/C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Python.
